I truly do love to cook, but after a long day a work & my failure to grocery shop it doesn't always happen. This year I'd really like to make an effort to most days a week. I pinned a bunch of great recipes, including some low maintenance slow cooker meals so it's really about taking the time to decide on a meal plan, purchase only those things needed and get cooking.
This weekend I'm excited to sit down with my new Smitten Kitchen cookbook {get yours here} & all my pins {here} and plan some meals. In an effort to stay focused while grocery shopping I've made some new meal planning shopping lists:

I designed these two lists so that I can plan my meals for each day and then next to the meal list the ingredients I need to buy. This may sound like a lot of information for a simple grocery list, but there have been many days when I get home from Trader Joe's and have no idea why I bought the things I did. With my lists structured the way they are everything will be right there & hopefully I won't buy anything unnecessary {I'm talking to you candy cane joe-joe's!}.
I've made my lists available for download, so please feel free to click, download, print & use for yourself - hopefully these will help us all stay on track.
What are your favorite recipes to help keep you out of a cooking slump?
Happy Friday!
